Mick O'Dwyer Tournament 10th-12th June 2016
Waterville Co. Kerry is looking forward to celebrating our local hero, Mick O’Dwyer during the June 10th weekend. This weekend marks Mick O’Dwyers 80th birthday and to honour the occasion, the Sea Lodge Hotel are hosting a football tournament in Waterville.
The event is to honour Mick in his own home town and to acknowledge all that he has done for the GAA and sport of Gaelic Football. A retired manager and former player, Mick is most famous for managing the Kerry senior team between 1974 and 1989, during this time he became the county’s longest serving and most successful manager.
Join us in Waterville for the weekend of celebrations and festivities including entertainment by some of Ireland's top county music artists and get a chance to meet some of our greatest sporting legends.

The Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival honours the pioneering spirit of a great film maker & advocate for social change
The CCCFF is a four day event packed with workshops, circus performers, street entertainment, art exhibitions, film competition screenings & pop up improvised comedy. Some of the main acts this year is Comedian Deirdre O Kane on Friday 26th August & The great Bagatelle on Saturday 27th
The 6th Annual Comedy Film Festival will run from 25th to 28th August 2016 & is a showcase for Chaplins enormous corpus of work in the film industry & Chaplin Classics will be shown throughout the festival
The pivotal event is the competition for film makers (closing date 1st June 2016).

EIGSE NA BRIDEOIGE is a cultural festival which takes place every year during the first weekend in February. The events are spread over various centres in the Gaeltacht areas of Iveragh in South Kerry. Each year a different theme celebrates and investigates some aspect of the rich social & cultural heritage of the area. The theme can be a person, a place, an organisation or any other aspect of that heritage. Lectures, seminars & field trips explore various aspects of the theme. The weekend includes music, song and poetry in both concerts & informal sessions. The festival is intended as a celebration of St Bridget's Day which is also a celebration of the coming of Spring, regeneration & growth
