The Skellig rocks, an early start is necessary to take a trip to the Famous Skellig Rocks. Which are located 12kms off the coast of Kerry, Ireland, are of such an importance that they have been made a World Heritage Site a trip to Kerry is not complete without a visit. Magnificent views of the bay can be had from the boat trip out to the rocks. Make your way up the great Skellig where the monastic settlement is located. The small Skellig is easily viewed from here with all its puffins, razorbills among others for bird watchers, it is renowned as an important breeding site for many threatened species of sea birds, while botanists can marvel at the abundant local flora, much of which is to be found nowhere else in Ireland. Boats leave from Portmagee harbour everyday at 10.30am and return at 3.30pm, the trip costs 50-euro person and can be organised here at the hotel. We also provide a lunch packed lunch for the day but this trip is subject to weather conditions. Trips to the Skelligs can be arranged at reception.
